Mix it Up Monday!


So this Mix it Up Monday comes from my husband Josh. I took a selection of scents to him for him to decide what to melt next in our bedroom, instead of one, he grabbed TWO! First ever for him :) So Proud!

We have Aussie Plum and Peony Petals warming and creating quite a delightful combination.

Wax Tip #001

I'm being very optimistic that I am going to be able to come up with more than 99 wax tips but we have to think positive! 

When I first got my warmer, I hadn't attended a party, I didn't ask questions I just jumped in feet first!

I plugged it in, turned it on, and put in two cubes straight away. I found the scent didn't "flow" through my house very well, it stayed in the one room I had the warmer and I was a little disappointed, I'd only brought two warmers, one for the kitchen and one for our master lounge, yet the rest of the house was unscented, so I threw in another cube....

Anyway I suffered in silence for about a week and then decided to ask... how many cubes did you actually NEED to use at a time because this three cubes at once was really going to cost me a fortune!

I only needed to use one cube at a time! The scent comes from the warmest part of the warmer, the bottom of the dish. By filling the dish too deep with additional wax means that the scent has a harder time escaping.

After applying this little tip I found the fragrance actually spread more evenly around my house and for longer! So there you go... wax tip number one from me.


Game Time - Colouring In

Popping Balloons


I think one thing you need to take into consideration before playing ANY game with your fans, customers, friends and family. Not every game will work for every body and if you go into everything with positive thoughts and motivation without a predetermined outcome you'll be more successful in your business. Also you do not need to play games to have a successful business but good customer interactions and follow ups will help you grow your business.

That aside let's look at how to pop balloons with Scentsy.

Details you need to decide on before you start: -
When: - remember just because you have an idea today doesn't mean you have to act on it straight away so when would you like to play?
Image: - see below
Description: - what text will you be putting along with your image, make sure you include your PWS address so anyone who sees it in their newsfeed will know who you are. Think of the FREE marketing and networking! When people comment on your posts (depending on your privacy settings) it gets put into THEIR news feed and then all of their friends can see it. Encourage comments but do not give away any more details.
Responses: - what do you plan to say to those that comment on your image.
Prizes: - deciding what you are going to use for each balloon is real important, saves you being put on the spot and having to suit a reward for each person when the number is selected, it also allows you to stick to a budget which is VERY important, never give away more than you can afford. You also need to ensure that all conversations regarding these prizes are discussed in private.

Once they have picked a number then you need to send them a private message with something along these lines: -

    • They reply with yes or no then you can tell them what they win IF they have a qualifying party of $220 or more!!!!
  • "Hi! Thank you for participating in my number game!  You choose #4 - that means if you host a qualifying Scentsy party for me any time in September, October or November you will get a FREE *insert prize here* from me as a THANK YOU!  It can be a home or basket party? What date works for you?"
  • "Thank you for playing! By popping balloon number 2 you have selected a special prize of *insert prize here*. Now you can only collect that prize by hosting a qualified party (or placing and order over $220 yourself) if this sounds good to you we can book whatever type of party you like to get you that prize plus hostess rewards."
  • "Hi there!!! Ok here's the deal! You popped #15.... Just for popping a balloon you are getting a FREE Scent Circle. That balloon also had a secondary prize if you host a party with qualifying sales this month which is *insert prize here* Now before you freak out about how to qualify, I will help you! If you are able to gather 4 orders of $55 each or 3 orders of $75 then you're done, otherwise if you want me to help you get even more party rewards I can do a one hour event on Facebook with games and stuff to show people what Scentsy is. Only thing I ask is that you invite your friends and that you attend the online event as well.
    So, I need your address so I can send you your FREE Scent Circle, then I need a date for the one hour party demo. Unless you decide to gather the orders yourself. Easy Peasy! So let's pick a date!!!  Weekend or weeknight? Recently Released!

We have recently had a new brochure launched and there have been some AMAZING additions to our collection. You can view the full brochure by visiting this link.


Above you will see our recently released Premium warmers, we have the beautiful Vintage Teapot (top left) which stands 16.5cm tall, it's a light dusty pink with a delicate rosebud on the removable lid and a lovely scallop pattern around the top. No Place Like Home (top right) is one of our tallest warmers standing 21.5cm tall. It is another three-piece warmer which includes the warmer base, a dish and the removable lid which is fitted with a "skylight perfect for stargazing".

On the bottom row (left to right) you will find the new Aspen Grove, Cherry Tree and Free Spirit.

I'm having an extremely hard time picking my favourite, I'm very fond of Aspen Grove, with Vintage Teapot coming in second but Cherry Tree in a complete leg of it's own that might speed past them both! I can't wait to see these in person.
